Hi there i have a set up a little website hoping to design local businesses web sites to get some money for University..

This is only my third website and am no means an expert, so some constructive critism would be helpful...

Thanks

loads fast, easy to navigate, straight forward, answers the 5 w's.

I dont have any issue with the site.

When on the portfolio page, the about link doesn't work (it stays on portfolio).

Also the height of the frame that you use on some pages (about, portfolio, contact) is a little different on each page. Why not have the same design on all of the pages (services)?

Very competent site, fast loading, displays properly in Mozilla and Opera as well as Internet Destroyer.

Pleasing design.

If you are looking for a metaphor, though, I wonder what images of hiways and subways have to do with surgery....

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

Also, on your contact page, change radio buttons to check boxes so a customer can choose more than 1 option...

Don't mind if I be a bit harsh do ya?

1. I don't like the blue on top of the page, it doesn't contrast enough with the black "surgery"

2. Speaking of surgery I'd choose a better font, it looks like "surcery"

3. the red cross gives the impression of an actual medical related site, it's only when I read the content that I discovered it was a Web related site

4. navigation: there should be a second navigation option, left link column for example.

5. Consistency:
- some pages have a footer, others don't
- spacing at the bottom of the content varies
- as mentioned the portfolio page content is lower
- the services page uses a different design, keep them all the same or make them all different :)

6. Contact page:
provide a snail mail address, email address, phone numbers etc
Use form validation as well.

7. Rewrite some of the content, especially on the front page. A site run by students won't inspire confidence.

Hope that didn't see´m too harsh? :)

Personally, I'd make the site look different because it looks very similar to the one in your portfolio section. If I was looking for someone to design my website, I probably wouldn't choose your company because you've only showcased 2 different designs. If you change this one around, then you'd have 3 different looking ones and a little more to work with. I'd try to get another one or two on the portfolio page, even if it is just the front pages of some dummy sites to show what you can do.
Everything that Cian said above I agree with too.
