I have redesigned my company's website and was hoping to get a few reviews on it's appearance. I would also like to know of any problems anyone has viewing the page as it has only been tested on MSIE 5.5 and 6.0 at the moment.

The aim was to create a simple, clean site with very few frills. I wanted to make it look technical as it is for a manufacturing company. It is partially based on some of our documentation. It should also load reasonably quickly and on my tests it is not too bad.

The top yellow and blue areas are our corporate colours and so I won't be changing those much, but I would like to hear of anyone who doesn't see the colours correctly.

I have temporarily hosted the site at...

Anyway all comments / critisms are welcomed,

Thanks,

Steve

Like the way you've broken up the squares in the design with all those curves. Not convinced by the colour scheme - but maybe that's a corporate thing. You should try to use text wherever you can instead of images-as-text, eg "World-leading technology..." slogan.

What you must do is put a proper DOCTYPE on your document, then validate it through . What that will tell you to do is add alt attributes to your images. [tt]alt=""[/tt] is an acceptable value for all the purely eye-candy images on your page, more meaningful ones for images with real content.

I think it looks OK but maybe a picture of a seal-less pump might help

Chris - The colours are pretty much chosen by using the corporate colous. The darkest yellow and blue are close colour matches from our corrunt printed documentation. I may try tweaking the other shades though. I have not been too keen on the light yellow but wanted something that would appear as a lighter shade of the main colour.
Thanks for looking it over

Tom - This is just the template of the banner and contents areas at the moment. The block on the right is reserved for the online shop which I am coding. I will be including technical pages with pump details for all our pumps which will have pictures of them. Thanks.

Any more comments still welcomed

nevets2001uk, like the color usage and the logo image design. Change one thing, you have some logo image in the center towards the bottom, for "sundyne" move that to the left side, underneath "shop" link, and you're all set...
Good job...

I have this little thing, Advanced Delusionary Schizophrenia with Involuntary Narcissistic Rage.
It's no big deal really...

Cheers! I've never really liked having that Sundyne logo at all but what can you do!?! Thanks for the advice. I'll try shifting it around some time to find it's best location.
