Site Form Output

I'm new to webdesign
I'm creating a basic form (in Dreamweaver) with a submit button and a clear button. I know javascript generally and what i want to do is mail the form, but mail it with structure. Currently when the form is mailed it is plain text and really all over the place. I want to limit the output down to one page (even an html or excel standard and want it to look clean and professional. Is there anyway to accomplish this?

Use server side scripting to take the form data and construct the email as HTML.
You could also construct a PDF or Excel file I guess and attach it to the mail.
