Hi,
I'm making a site with macromedia ultradev and I want to have a menu all of my pages that goes down on one side of the page with links to the different pages. I haven't built the pages yet because I still want to work on the design to make them all look uniform. I wanted to do something similar to I was hoping that I could have the different links on the side like it is on that page.
What would be the easiest way to do this? Is there a program that would let you design the menu and make the HTML code? Would I have to use CSS? Does anyone have a good tutorial that would help me out?

Thanks,
Spencer

Hi mate,

Do you mean the links in the "Latest News", "Latest Tutorials" etc?

If you do then you do not need any program to do that for you, it is just tables and basic css.

Why not just look at the way that they have done this and alter it for your site? I am by now way meaning that you should just copy and paste their menu though..

Hope this helps Wullie

Well, actually I discovered that Ultradev will let you block out your design into different areas, like a banner across the top and a menu down the left etc. It works pretty well, so I'll stick with that.

Thanks for the suggestion though,

Spencer

Yeah you're right,
What I meant with blocking out the design was that ultradev lets you set up a table on the page with different cells for the design that you want: content in the middle, menu on the left etc.. Then you can choose a different background and text color of each cell on the page, so that the menu has a black background and the content area is white.
