I need some help. I was playing with changing the design of my <site> homepage, and I applied the template from another site. Instead of applying the site as a template (for its design) it completely replaced my site default page with the new page. how do I restore the <old> site default page??? My sysadmin tells me the backup on this site hasn't worked in weeks, argh! When I type in the URL to try to go to the site/default.aspx, I get message back that the page does not exist. Please tell me it ain't so...
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks!
Z.

Once again, I am my own worst enemy. Solved the problem by going to //sharepoint/home, going to "Manage portal site" and then right clicking on "Site" to edit the properties and restore the default template page. Ahhhhh.
Hope this helps anyone who is wondering blind in the des(s)ert of Sharepoint.

Z.
