I have been working with a photographer on his site, I would appreciate your opinions it's design.

Please, when you respond, let me know your browser version and what you saw, was everything ok.

thanks Hope this helped!

Site works well. You might want to add a bio for the Photographer. Also its unclear whether one adds $7 s&h per image or just $7 regardless of the number of images ordered.

you are so right, I will have to clarify the $7.00 with him. I'm trying to get him to do a bio, he is a shy man and just wants the world to enjoy his work, not worried about acknowledgement. I had to argue to get him to try and sell his prints. I've got some (free for my work) and they are fantastic, but he isn't much into the bio thing.

It is a great idea and I will keep working to get him to add one.

thanks for your comments - much appreciated. Hope this helped!

in the dhtml menu the text was misaligned with the lines. that is to say most of the text had a line across it.

I like it, nice and clean and simple. Well done :)

I had no prblem with the menus (Konqueror 3.0.0-2)

and the images are amazing! [smurf]

Very nice site. I like the pictures changing on the first page. :)

Thanks for the wonderful comments. I'm trying hard to make the design as simple as possible to not take away from any of the images - which are the key focus of the site.

I appreciate all of your comments and suggestions. Hope this helped!

I liked the design because it was simple with some nice features but not too flashy and still packed a lot of punch. I really enjoy your drop down menu and organization.

And the images are very beautiful!

A comment from a guy out in the sticks with only a 56k modem connection...

Everything about the site is visually appealling, really, well done, but I found it VERY slow to load with only 56K.

I didn't know there was a drop down menu 'till a few minutes into the loading. After a while I could see the menu headers, but nothing would drop down for ages.

I think the menu is important to load early on.

As soon as you get the first few piccies, you know you're onto something appealling and you're prepared to wait, but having no menu may make some people give up too early if they think that's all there is.

A personal design feeling, this one...

I don't think you need the red frameline around the boxes. The pictures are clearly separate entities and have a nice backshadow which separates each nicely. I think the lines make the page look harsher than it could be.

Try no line, or a softer colour line and I think you'll get more punch from the photos themselves.

Cheers,

Graham
