The new design is much more useable, and the navigation layout is much better.
That little bit of scrolling flash is very choppy and hard to read though. Have you tried increasing the frame rate(fps) to make it smoother. I think the words 'NEWS' and 'MANUFACTURER' at the top of those menus could both do with moving down a few pixels as well.
Other than that though, nicely laid out and very user friendly.

In terms of usability, I prefer the new design.
The menu headers reflect the menu contents and provide good reference points.

In terms of design, I prefer the original.

Ideally, I'd prefer to keep the original style, but add in the navigation headers and improve the grouping somewhat. Perhaps supply a few borders to group things together.
