I have a GeForce 2 MX400 video card that with all tests is showing it has a SiS 315 processor onboard.

Is it possible the processor is a SiS 315?

Has anyone produced a GeForce 2 MX400 video card with a SiS 315 processor?

If anyone can answer thise questions for me it wouild be greatly appreciated. Thanks

To answer your question, no a GF2 MX400 has an Nvidia chipset , it wouldn't be a GF2 MX400 if it had a SIS chipset on it.
I guess that for some reason the GF2 hasn't been recognised when it was installed and what you are seeing reported is the "onboard" graphics chipset which is obviously a SIS 315.
You need to remove the Geforce card and delete all old Geforce drivers, make sure you have set first display device in the bios to AGP (if it is an AGP fitment) disable if appropriate onboard graphics, again in the bios, then and only then refit the card, hopefully it will "plug and play" find the driver disk in the CDrom and load the appropriate drivers.
Obviously when installed properly with the correct drivers it will report your graphics card as a GF2 MX400
