Hi forum

I read about SirCam virus on some german info sites.
There have been posted some generell different meanings about infection of the system.
One of the newer article today told, that a n y adressbook eg any mailprogramm could be infected.

My vir-engines have been updated at the right time; want to know more about the full vulnarability.
Is there any vulnarability known for netscape users with MS Win Nt 4.0 (MS-VM not installed)?
Thanks for any suggestion and sorry about my rusty english.
Best regards - Haui1

From what I'm reading Netscape users are not immune. The virus uses any open network share it can find. Since it has its own SMTP routine it only has to look at the default Windows address book or the temporary internet folder. It uses the temp folder to look for any cached e-mails to find addresses. What I don't know is if MS-VM needs to be installed for this to work. Just to be safe, I would advise getting a good AV (antivirus) program. For more info see .
