Does anyone know minimum software versiion for SIP trunks, I have a IP500 with V4.2 which refuses to work but if I use my test kit at V 5-0-26 with exactly same settings it does work.

same again dude... 4.2 will support SIP, but it's fugly. quite different in configuration. Probably easier to get ya head around it if using registration based trunks on 4.2. they'll end up looking/ acting more like an ATM in that regard..

4.0+ dose SIP. You are much better off with 5.0(26), especially on a IP500 if You do not have professional licence, as it is not needed on 5.0 on IP500.
SIP can be trial & error, look at monitor to see what is happening!
