Hello everyone,

I'm going to set up 4 sites using SIP trunks (wasn't my choice) to network them together for 4 digit dialing only.

If they were using H.323 trunks this would be a piece of cake, I've done it several times, just not SIP.

All 4 sites will have brand new BCM 50's R3.

Reading through the doc's I guess I'm hung up on the SIP setting for "local domain" for the system I would be locally on and then there is "remote domain" when I'm configuring the remote gateways for the other systems.

Is this setting based on the customers computer network or do I just randomly put a different word in each system but making sure they match in each of the remote gateways.

Also, if there is something else I should keep in mind regarding SIP trunk programming please let me know.

Thanks

same domain name
SIP -I think is easier than H323
setup routing under IP trunks
setup Destination codes etc.

I just setup 6-50's remotes off 1-400 had a little learning curve in the beginning but it's not that bad seeing you already know H323.

I still can't get faxing working tho :0

It's only dialtone-VZ
