I have 2 vMCD's setup as resilient.

I have SIP trunking setup through an MBG proxy for the primary system.

Has anyone tried to setup sip trunking where they are shared between 2 systems?

My second system is failing to register.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

you mean you have two MCDs sharing the same MBG?

do you want the sip trunks that are primarly registered on controller A to fail over to B in case A fails?

I'm not sure if that is possible but that makes me think of one thing:

-you will permanently need SIP Trunk licenses on both controllers

What hapends if you program B as a Secondary Destination Controller in Routing Rules of your MBG...?

I would think you need separate SIP trunks on A and B. Maybe the provider can group your DIDs among the two sets of trunks, I don't know you have made a good question by the way

Regards,

Daniel

Never acutally programmed SIP trunks to two controllers. Only setup resiliency so that on failure of controller 1 the SIP trunks connect to controller 2. Only ever did that once.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.
