SIP Trunks - Remove IP Address from caller ID

I have seen this mentioned but not a resolution. Does any one know how to remove the "@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx from caller ID as it is very annoying, especially in voicemail.

I have to tackle this tomorrow so any insight will be great.

No you cannot, this has been raised as a feature request with Avaya.

This is also a problem on outgoing calls - LNR from Phone Manager is screwed for the same reason...

Thats silly that they would not come out with the feature with the ability to do that. Seems like a pretty easy thing to code in.

I think when people start using SIP URI's properly (ie my number might be jamie@sipwhatever.com) then the @... will be needed.

I agree that for tel no URI's we should be able to take it out as it has no relavence but in SIP as a whole it is needed.
