Hi Guys,

This customer has asked me something that I've never come across:

Customer has an MXe controller with SIP trunks, IP Users and a couple of TDM services as well. They recently bought a vMCD and plans are to move all IP services to the Virtual Machine and leave all TDMs at the MXe Controller. They will program a cluster, form sharing and resiliency for some of the IP sets.

SIP trunks are also going to be moved to the new vMCD. Question is: What sort of redundancy/resiliency can be achived with SIP Trunks? Can the SIP trunks on vMCD register from the MXe in case of failure?

or, customer needs additional SIP trunks on both controllers and have some standing by?

Regards,

Daniel

I had the same question as that

Looks like simmplest os to get theh carrier to split the trunks and register them from both

Otherwise you would have to add the registeration to both and busy one out and manually activate it

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
