Sip Trunks Lan or Wan

What would be the proper way to interface Sip Trunks to the IP Office, I know both work and I've seen it done on LAN and the WAN,thanks for your input
 
There is really no WAN anymore, it's just LAN1 or LAN2.

I always only use one interface for everything unless there is a very good reason not to.

It's not up to the tech to decide, it's up to the customer.

And if a PBX tech came to my company and suggested that he wanted bridge my internal network with an external connection through his PBX I would throw him out :D

I do everything through LAN1 with SIP trunks following the standard path for external connectivity.

Like janni78 said - bridging a public internet face on LAN2 would get you laughed out of the building by Infosec with many of the clients I deal with.
