Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to establish a connection between a CS1000M 4.0 and a BCM50. So far it has not been possible.

I put a trace on the D-Channel and when I make the call it says that there are no trunks/circuit available but all the channels show as IDLE on the Element Manager.

Does anyone has a solution on this? I know that H323 is easier to configure but haven't done it with SIP.

Yes, but at the 'Call Signaling IP' column it says 'Not Registered'

On the NRS, the BCM50's gateway endpoint, make sure you are config'd for dynamic SIP and your transport is UDP and port 5060.

On the NRS, also take note of the Service domain. In the NRS config, click configuration and service domains. Remember the Domain listed in the ID column.

Now, on the BCM50, make sure you have SIP licensing first. Then in Element Manager, Click Resources, Telephony Resources, IP Trunks, Sip Proxy. Enter the service domain name from the NRS in the Domain field here. Then down at the bottom of the page, add Outbound Proxy Table. Click Add, enter service domain name in Name Field, the IP of the NRS port 5060. Once this info is filled out, the BCM should register with the NRS.

BCM 50's don't do dynamic SIP registration. You'll have to configure it as a static SIP endpoint in the NRS. Transport is UDP. Also, if your BCM 50 is a release 1.0 box, you'll need to upgrade to get SIP functionality.
