I'm looking for some help on our SIP trunk. We currenty have everything setup for our SIP trunk. We can receive calls on it and forward to any extension we want. We have tested the tac on it and we are able to outbound dial. I was hoping to get some help on how do you specify the stations to use that specific trunk for outbound dialing?

I think the most appropriate way would be to specify those phones as a separate location/tenant.

Then in the ARS tables for that location/tenant you use routes that utilize the SIP trunk.

A very wise and well respected man once told me "Shut Up!".

Ok so how would I go about doing that? They are switching from their current PRI and going onto this SIP. I'm going to use their current route pattern but how do I setup the ARS to use that location/tenant?

If you are limiting the use of the trunk to a select set of extension the tenet setup would be a good why to go. What you do is build the new tenet, and build a new set of ars tables for that location.
You can also use partion route tables.

I guess I'm alittle confused. I'm not sure how to go about that. We have multiple gateways in different locations. How does it know to use those extensions with that specific route pattern to connect to the trunk? It doesn't seem that each location has it's own route table. I guess it just pick's up the extention with that trunk when it's at the location?

I see where you specify the trunk in the route pattern but how do you specfic the route pattern to the extension. Your help is appreciated.
