I have a customer that has a 3300 clustered network. He reset both controllers last Sunday. Since then the SIP Trunking in the cluster stopped.
His network people says all they did was close all open access portals from the outside world coming in to their network.
Oddly enough a special app that allows a 3 digit dial code that housekeeping can dial to let front desk folks know that the room is ready for a new guest. This issue quit Sunday as well.
The telephone guy says that all the IP phones are working fine and 2 of the three IP consoles are working too. He feels that it cannot be a network issue.
Any Ideas?

A couple of questions

1. Have the network guys closed all the open ports permanently? or just last Sunday?
SIP trunking requires port 5060 to be open (or whatever the SIP provider requires)
2. The app for room status is this also using SIP?

OK, so more questions:
- Are the two sites connected via SIP or XNET?
- Can you call to each site via the extension numbers?
- Are there any trouble logs, alarms on the systems?
- the 3 digit code, is that being relayed to the other site or just to the front desk?

Adding to Supernova statement... ask the network guys if they can open all the ports again, to see if there is any change in the system. This will prove out their network bring this issue.

SIP Proxy and Registry Servers uses port 5060.
The Bypass firewall NAT should be disabled too.
