I am going to be linking 2 BCM 450's together via SIP. Both systems are under the same roof so all ip config will take place on the LAN. What requirements and network set up should I recommend to the client? What ports need to be opened? What QOS settings need to be completed? Should they set up VLAN's?

Of course you'll need SIP trunk keycodes.
You can define the QoS to meet their needs on BCM450.
Default is DSCP ... 61 if I remember correctly.

The trunks use ports in the 28xxx range.
VLAN is up to the customer, but if the BCM's are already in a VLAN its covered.

Hope this helps!
