It is impossible to give an intelligent answer from the limited information you have provided.

Some things to address:

Are both systems configured to allow SIP calling correctly?

Is the TELES system defined in the NRS?

Are there routing entries in the NRS for the TELES system?

Does your CS1000 system connect to anything else using SIP?

Setting up SIP to interwork with different manufacturers equipment can be challenging, as there is no universal SIP implementation.

Is the TELES system you are using certified by Avaya (Nortel) as being compatible with your Release 5 system? If so, are there configuration notes available (Either from Avaya or TELES)?

Any additional information you can provide will be helpful.
