hello everybody,

Could you please help me to configure the NRS for SIP trunk with ISP.

I create the domain in my site for the CS1K rls 7.0. I wish to add a SIP trunk with a provider but it doesn't work.

Many thanks for your hand

Are you using a SBC? Have you checked the Avaya support site to see if there is an integration note for your configuration?

Can the SIP trunk provider provide any help? If they have provided service to anyone else with a CS1K, then they should be able to help with the config, at least on their side.

well he gives me only the ip address of the SIP proxy and the north american number. No domain for him.
This ISP doesn't have any CS1K before until now

Who's the provider and what release are you? Do you have a separate signaling server for your carrier SIP trunks? You're likely going to need custom patches to remove the MCDN from the SIP, adjust the phone context, adjust the domain to make it the IP address, etc - or you'll need a session border controller such as one from Acme Packet. Unless their SBC can handle all that for you...

the provider is canadain ISP (isptelecom)
the CS1K is in release 7.0
Sig Server in CP PM

So for you, the solution are :
* having patch from avaya
* SBC

i understand more why it doesn't work...

thanks a lot for your hand

You're welcome. Avaya also sells the SIP Trunk Bridge (it was a new software product for release 7.0) that is a "light-weight session border controller". I don't know anyone that uses one; we haven't installed any that I'm aware of.
