Hi all. I really need some help with a SIP trunk issue.

We have a SIP trunk from Gamma (UK) currently running through an Asterisk system as part of a migration.

Outward calls through the trunk are fine. Inward calls only work if the trunk has an answer point specified. Without this incoming calls are dropped with a 404 Not Found message.

Trunk number is 01234 123456

Things I have checked so far:

1. Network element looks fine with the correct IP etc.
2. Trunk is set to the correct element and is stripping 5 digits and adding no digits.
3. SIP peer has both 01234 123456 and 123456 in SIP Peer Profile Assignment for Incoming DID.
4. System Speed Call is setup for 123456 to point at extension 123.

Below is the CCS trace when calling from my mobile:

21:08:56 RIL DPN PEER Gamma 131 27 ISRM_I
;10;*3#*19*Z#*58*Ca*1*Z#*100*0712345678#
21:08:56 RIL DPN PEER Gamma 131 27 SSRM_I
*58*CW*UX|w@@@@@Cft]`#*50*0712345678#
21:08:56 RIL DPN PEER Gamma 131 C SSRM_C 01234123456
21:08:56 ROL DPN PEER Gamma 131 2 CRM/CIM ;0;

Looking at a SIP trace the number shown in the invite to the Mitel is 01234123456@....

Can anybody think what I have forgotten or not done.

Thanks,

Alex

Alex,

First thing, make sure CRS is set to off in the trunk service.

Secondly, there is a dialing conflict between your speed call and the actual digits, they both start with 123. Not saying this is the problem but maybe you should eliminate it for troubleshooting.
Can you set the actual digits to something other then the extension 123 and see if it works?

Hi,

Thanks for your suggesstions.

The CRS is already off so unfortunately its not that. I've tried different number formats but unfortunately no luck there. The SIP trunk provider has kindly given me another number that matches the extension format so I can simply strip off digits but even that doesn't work.

Quite stuck at the moment!

Any other suggesstions?

Thanks,

Alex
