Customer has an IP Office 500v2 Rls7(5). SIP trunks are from PowerNet Global. I have been working on this all day to get this to work. They tell me they are not seeing my outbound traffic and the inbound calls never get a REPLY. I think this has something to do with my IP route. Can I email someone my config and get some suggestions? I am searching this forum for info as well as looking through the knowledge base.

Are you going through a firewall? If so I would start there. If not then yes you can look at your IP routes.

How do I send you the config in an email? I have tried different routes but no change. We are not going through a firewall. I have LAN 2 setup with a public IP going straight into PNG's router.

On your IPO, go to File/Save Config and put it on your desktop or a folder.

Yes I would agree with kholladay to ask your provider which ports on your firewall to open. Also your ARS tables are very important. Does your provider see your registration?

I just spend about a week configuring mine. If you want I can take a look at your config.

Do you have a route pointed to their proxy IP with a destination of lan 2? Most all of my sip stuff has been with Paetec and their proxy is usually 10.250.0.5. If their router is 10.10.10.1 and the IPO is 10.10.10.2, I connect lan 2 to their router and build an IP route of 10.250.0.0/24 with a next hop of 10.10.10.1, interface of lan 2.

My IP route is pointed to my own gateway.

IP Address: 0.0.0.0
IP Mask: 0.0.0.0.
Gateway Address: 192.168.0.1
LAN1

Do you have the IPO connected to only your LAN port? not the WAN?

I am not going through a firewall. They do not require registration. I have LAN 2 configured with a public IP going straight into PNG's router. Biv, no I don't have a route pointing to their proxy IP. I tried to configure that but kept getting an error. Can you give me an example?

If they do not require registration and you are behind a NAT there is nothing to map the ports between the private IP on the IP Office and the public IP on the outside of the router. Have you setup a NAT translation for UDP 5060?

No, I have not setup anything on port 5060. The only thing we are behind is PNG's router for the circuit. We go from LAN 2 directly into their router. I wouldn't think they would be using NAT.

It was mentioned to have a route pointing to PNG's proxy IP. Can someone give me an example of what that route should look like?

OK, I have incoming working. Outgoing is still not working. I have:
Shortcode
9N
Dial
N
51:SIP
ARS
N; Dial N"@voipsbc.pngcom.com"

The error I am getting is "FindActiveARSByGroupID GroupID=5 - Not Found". And on the phone it says "INCOMPATIBLE".

I don't have a STUN server configured (tryed it with and without). It is set for "Open Internet" and the public internet address is in the Public IP field with port 5060.

Under the Transport tab I am using LAN2 Network Topology.

Under the SIP URI tab I have stars in the first 3 fields and "Use Internal Data" in the PAI field, and incoming/outgoing as 0/0. I also have one with "Use Internal Data" in all fields, and incoming/outgoing as 0/5. I have tried various things with the line groups. They are not using Registration.

I have an IP Route 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0/<IP of Gateway Router>.

I have tried different things that I read here and so far nothing has worked. I am lost and need help. I appreciate any assistance.

Do you have a DNS server address in place so the IPO can resolve the proxy by name? I've always done N@"proxyname.whatever.com". Might try moving the quotes after the @ symbol. I seem to remember hearing that wasn't required in R7 anymore, but I still do it.

Are your SIP trunks in line group 0 or 5?

To see if its a DNS issue, you could try putting the IP in as the SIP domain name (66.234.183.181).

The incoming is line group 0 and the outgoing is 5. I have the LAN DNS server address in place. The carrier does not have a DNS server themselves.

Tried your suggestions and it did not work. Can someone look at my config and give any suggestions?

Never mind on that. We now are showing from Monitor an issue with PNG. They are sending us a 404.

PNG had given me "@voipsbc.pngcom.com" to use. This was wrong. Everything is working now.

Great that works now :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

They kept saying they could not see any outbound info from us. That is why I kept thinking it was in the IPO. Thank God it is working now. I gained good working knowledge but it has been a nightmare.
