I was wondering if all we needed to do was purchase SIP trunk licenses or do we need additional hardware to make them work. I did some searching and did not come up with much except that maybe we need an ASU-II?? Not sure if this helps but I think we are on version 8 software and the WHERE command returns this Operating with 3300 ICP Call Control 39.0.2.17. We were upgraded in the last few months to the highest we could go to without purchasing any new hardware. They did replace the Hard Drive during the upgrade.

We have the 3300 along with the SX2000 with All types of stations and a Teleworker for remote users.

We are thinking of getting rid of our PRI and going with SIP trunks to a new Local/Long provider. Any thoughts on this would be apreciated as well, Like maybe a good provider.

Thanks in advance

For 3300 you just need SIP trunk licenses and minimum SW V7.1 (I think)

Be sure and stick to Mitel's interop document unless you are very fluent with SIP. There are a lot of docs that show you how to setup sip trunks from start to finish,
