Is anyone here familiar with delivery of SIP trunking over their MPLS network instead of the public internet?
CenturyLink has a new platform called 'Hosted VoIP'
It acts like a hosted PBX in one sense, however, it allows for the configuration of SIP trunking sessions between the CPE and the Hosted VoIP platform using the CenturyLink MPLS network. The advantage is security since the SIP traffic never touches the public internet.
The disadvantage is my team has zero experience with this specific product offering and our contacts are not doing a good job of explaining the nut and bolts of it to us. We do have broad experience in the VoIP world however. Unfortunately the vendor isn't offering much to us at present about why we are unable to even see the IP addresses on their side of the MPLS network. So far we have followed their instructions closely.
It isn't much to go on, I am mainly looking to see if anyone else has heard of / or used this specific product offering from this vendor.
Thanks.
