We are extending out or Nortel CS1000 by adding Avaya Aura Equipment.
We have build a SIP trunk on our CS1000. As an initial phase only 10 SIP access ports have been purchased but I suspect that we will have to jump that shortly or risk blockage.
I am looking for some information that I am not finding in the practices.
Question 1;
The SIP trunk in the CS1000 mimics a PRI circuit. Is there an upper limit on the number of route members that can be added to the SIP trunk? The thought being a PRI has 23 traffic carrying channels and 1 D channel, but on the other hand a D-channel can support up to 10 trunks. It seems that an upper limit of 23 to an upper limit of 24X10 - 1D = 239 route members is possible. Anyone with an ID on the upper limit?
Question 2:
I am assuming the following programming to configure additional channels on that SIP trunk. For example purchase another 13 licenses to complete the PRI.
ld 14
REQ new 13
Type IPTI
TN 16 11 //where 16 is the D-channel associated to this route and 11 is the next member in the group. Route members currently number from 1 to 10 with TNs 128 0 00 00 to 128 0 00 09.
Is this the correct Syntax?
