SIP Trunk and Texting

With cloud/hosted solutions becoming more popular, we get asked every so often in sales meetings about being able to text with the IPO and SIP DID's. I know there are 3rd party solutions out there but I was wondering if there are any SIP trunk providers that have this feature without bringing in a 3rd party? What do others do in this situation?

Avaya CPaaS.

I believe they can port just the SMS part of a DID to their platform.

I think a really cool feature would be having my softphone subscribe to that DID on CPaaS so I get the SMS to my business number in my softphone as a chat message that I can reply to, but there's nothing that smooth today at least for Avaya.

Kyle555 is correct. Avaya CPaaS can sms enable any number.

They also provide very inexpensive sip trunking options for IP Office.
