I am implementing SIP trunking on a MCD 5.0 and I get the following trace when calling out:

Request URI: sip:111296473091234@Allstream:5060;transport=udp

Allstream is saying that I cannot have the word Allstream in this trace and I am not sure where that is coming from, anyone know where that would be programmed in the MCD.
No outgoing calls with that in.

thanks

no I am not using MBG, I have to have a name in the Network Element, correct?

I believe an IP address, I will try your suggestion. Thanks

for sure they want an IP address, changed the name in the network elements field and tested and that did not change what went out, then I changed the peer profile name and no change there either.

In the Network Elements form for the SIP provider be sure you are using the IP address of the SIP provider not the FQDN of the provider. This is entered in the FQDN or IP Address field.

Where is the trace from?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

I am running 5.0 and the trace is from Allstream but I also see the same thing when I do a trace in maintenance on the MCD

I have created a ticket with Mitel so will update this post with the results.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I can NEVER remember where to change this. It is a SIP peer profile setting if I recall 100%.
Will look for it *AGAIN* (sigh). I should make a note of this for future...;p

Mitelpassion, any luck finding what you did to fix this, Mitel is taking their sweet time getting back to me?

Do you have anything programmed in the Default CPN Name field in the Calling Line ID tab?

yes I do have a name in there but is is not the one displaying on the trace.

I finally got this working, I had changed the name in the Network Elements form and the SIP Peer Profile form to no avail, what I ended up doing is creating a new Network Element with a totally different name and that worked.
