I have a customer who has 3 BCM400s (rel 4.0)and 1 BCM50 (rel 3.0) all connected via their MPLS network. I can connect to them all ok but the problem is that all te 400s have H.323 voip trunks in them and the 50 has SIP trunks. I can't for the life of me get the 50 to work with the 400s. The 400s all work fine, all systems have the proper keycodes (MCDN, voip trunks etc). I've asked several other techs (Nortel included) and no one seems to be able to figure out how to set up the 50 to work H.323 only.
I know that in the voip protocol that you can switch between sip and H.323 but that's not the issue. There are sip parameters that need to be configured irregardless of that and the system won't let you ignore them.
I'm hoping that someone here has been able to make a similar configuration work somewhere else and can enlighten me.
