Hi there,
I'm a Cisco router and switch guy but SIP... sheesh, why does it confuse me so much?
I'm trying two different lab environments.
I have an X-Lite software SIP phone loaded on my PC. I also have a 2N Voiceblue SIP to GSM gateway.
I'd like to get my PC and Gateway talking with SIP and have the gateway put my calls on the GSM network. (basically turning my PC into a big complicated cellphone)
Is this going to be a peer to peer environment between the two SIP devices?
Whenever I see SIP server and SIP proxy I get confused because I don't have one.
I have no phone numbers from an ITSP or anything like that.
How can I tell the softphone to use my gateway as a gateway?
