I have a customer that has a SV8500 with IP phones ...they are asking about wanting a certain SIP phone for some of thier users ... do I need a SIP license for telsets, or will the regular IP license suffice?
If it's not an NEC phone then you will most likely need a 3rd party SIP license. I'm not sure what it's called in the 8500, since NEC uses different terminology on each system.
Thank you (as always) for that quick reply .... I can probably figure out what the name of that license is, if they have it, by looking into the LMC. At least I assume thats where it would be..
On the SV8500 it's called 3rd party SIP license. However, the SV8500 has reached End-of-Life on 31 Dec 2018, meaning you can't get support and end point licenses for it any more.
Except, if you purchase some "bridge-over" support or however they call it, in which case, you can still get licenses until the end of 2019.
