IPO 9.1

In the last couple of days SIP calls have started failing. This has been working for over a year. No changes on my end.

My trace shows call coming in and then being dropped by provider.

Provider says the calls is being dropped because it is being redirected to an internal IP address.

Below is provider's trace:

SIP/2.0 200 OK

Is there setting in the IPO to force the "Contact:" to deliver the external address?

Thanks.

Well, define failing. That's a 200OK (with the SDP at the bottom cut off defining media) saying they acknowledged and set up your call.
What's the condition you get? Maybe some unroutable IPs are being pitched between you and the carrier, or the carrier in their own network.

Say they replaced their media gateway that gets you long distance and forgot to add the IP routing in that box to whatever outside edge you catch voice on, you'll never hear a thing.

We have a failover number that all the calls are now going to.

I can see through System Status line trace that the calls come into the switch so routing/networking is all good. Then SIP call is dropped and call is rerouted by provider to alternate alog trunk numbers.

well if you relly did not make a change and it's been working great all along then it has to be the sip provider then

The first INVITE packet is the interesting on, that tells the provider which IP to speak to.

Could be a router issue also. Are you using an SBC?
