Really weird problem this. Have one user who is getting cut off at 10 mins. Just the one. Scenario is this.

Call into system and call is answered by reception. You can speak to them as long as you like then call is trnasferred to problem user and she gets cut off after 10 mins. We have done same scenario to other extensions and there is no problem. The problem occours on different extensions (physical) plugged into her network port.

We have changed the port on her connection to the switch. the SIP's come in via a sonic wall and connect direct to the 3300.

Problem is no other user has the same problem (only 10 users on the switch and 4 SIP trunks).

Anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.

Just remembered, when the call gets cut off she just gets silence so it looks like it could be the RTP stream that is being dropped (calling in party gets silence too and hears a faint click which I think is the remote user clearing down and killing the SIP). But again its only happening to one user.

is it exactly 10 minutes? there is a cos option thats set to 10 minutes by default to drop calls

are you saying that you have tried other extensions ( physical devices ) on her port and they work

have you tried replacing her phone completely ( register her extension on a new physical device)

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Hi, no tother way round. We have tried another extension on her port and that suffers the same. So 1003 and 1004 on her port are the same. Yes, checked that and its set for 10 minutes and turned off. I think I set it for a higher value just to check. She has the same COS as everyone else.

some sort of spanning tree on her port perhaps then

what kind of switch is it

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Dunno, It deal with that. We have changed the port on the switch just to make sure. I would guess that it is just a dumb 24 port PoE though.Flat network with no bells and whistles.
