SIP Phones and delay/lag

Anyone else experience this?

When I dial fast on my SIP Phones (J179) its like the phone cant keep up, and the DTMF Tones seem to lag behind leaving you wondering if you actually pressed the button.

This is particularly bad after a reboot of the phones when they first log in.

The same phones at home (J179) running H.323 firmware that VPN back to my office do not have the same delay - everything is instant.

I have noticed this the R11.1 upgrade.
What release are you on? I am thinking about downgrading the phone firmware.

I think I know why now though. I have a short code so that no dial out code is required.

If I just dial, I get the delay.

If I pick up the handset or press the speaker phone first and then dial, no delay.

If I dial 9 and then the TN, no delay.

Ahh... that makes sense and have the same setup so I can dial 10 digits directly with out needing to use 9 for an outside line.
