SIP outbound caller ID r10

I'll do my best to keep the info as brief as possible

I have a SIP trunk. Inbound/Outbound calls work fine.
I would like to change the outgoing caller ID that shows up on the phone that is called.
I thought it was straight forward but I am discovering it is not.
I have tried many settings but the caller ID that shows up is always the main SIP phone number.
I have worked with the provider to no avail they say they do not see anything other the then SIP trunk phone number in the header.
Many different tech support people state that I am allowed to use any number I wish for the outbound Caller ID.

IPO 10.0.0.2.0
Sip trunk provider Nextiva

Main SIP trunk settings - 2 URIs
Incoming URI set to auto, auto, auto
Outgoing URI:
Local URI, Contact, Display Name all set to Use Internal Data
Identity set to Use Internal Data with P Asserted ID for header
Forwarding and Twinning Originator is SIP line phone number with Diversion header
Diversion header=None, Registration=1:SIP phone number, Inbound group 99, inbound group 17, max sessions=5

User SIP settings
SIP Name=SIP phone number
SIP Display Name (Alias) = 8001111111
Contact = 3102222222

If I change the User SIP Name to anything other than the SIP phone number the call doesn't go through which tells me that the URI is using the Internal Data like it should. I see the Display name and Contact info in the call logs.

To give you a short answer on a very well documented question: your provider block sending anything else as the main number.
Contact them to get it changed.
