I have a Cs100M (option 81 derived) running 5.5 software.

Currently it has SIP trunks defined between it & an Avaya CM

I'd like to also have a Polycom video bridge connect to it via SIP but am told that under 5.5 the SIP trunks could be to one endpoint only. Is this right?

anyway to get it to provide SIP trunks to multiple endpoints?

Are they Sip access ports, if so you should be able to build & register any SIP access point via the nrs

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

oh forgot to add, if you have 10 endpoints and 2 access trunks it means you will only be able to support 2 concurrent calls :)

Part of our problem. No NRS defined.

So far IP trunks between cs1000s have been setup using otm

The device I want to connect via sip to get calls into is a Polycom RMX bridge

I believe it wants to see sip trunks

NRS is required, you must have a sig serv for IP trunks so therefore a NRS should be present. have you tried accessing it?

Will double check tomorrow. Could we have NRS running as well as h323 trunks setup on an itg trunk card for cs1000 to cs1000 connectivity. We don't use NRs for that part I know.

On
The sig servers Avaya configured sip primary and secondary end points for the Avaya CM they are building for us

I want to add the Polycom RMX to receive sip calls to this

& I dont think OTM was supported at 5.5 I think it was either TM 3.2 or 4 & you cant set up or manage SIP trunks via that platform so you must have a NRS

Ok thanks do we must have both then as I know are h323 trunk are not on NRA. Sorry yes old habits. It's TM not otm.

Ok so NRS must be there. Will check this out

sig serv tlan IP add /nrs eg: 192.168.1.100/nrs

unless changed should be default info (refer to manuals)

if you only have h323 trunks and are managing them via TM are you sure you dont have ITG running? these are H323 (only) based

We do have ITG for the H323 trunks yes

We do have dig servers also for IP phone sets

Avaya configured sip trunks in the sig server main config and pointed to the two IP addresses of our new CM

they are saying we'd need 7.5 to have a second sip trunk route. But I will check on NRS tomorrow
