SIP, Nupoint and 3300

I have a wierd one..
I have sip trunks from ThinkTel, via an MBG and it all seems to work except:

If outside caller calls in and is answered by Nupoint(MAS), and Nupoint transfers to ext 317,

If 317 hangs up before the outside caller, the outside caller does not see a disconnect, and stays on the line with no audio until they disconnect.

This only appears to be a problem with calls routed throught the Nupoint

Ideas?
 
So here is what the SIP provider is telling me

Is there a setting in the 3300 or MBG that changes this behavior to how the carrier wants it?

" If at any point in time during a SIP dialog you send a request, we will challenge you for authentication. For incoming calls on a regular call, the only time this happens is on the BYE at the end if the one receiving hangs up first. Since you have an AA, you might resend the calls toward us which you seem to do by way of UPDATE first and then when that fails, by a reINVITE. For the call I've attached, you sent a few UPDATEs and reINVITEs as well as the BYE. Once you do send a request and we've challenged it once with a 401, you should send an authorization digest. Then and for the rest of the duration of the dialog, you know that we will challenge you so you should send that digest on every request. For some reason, your system doesn't resend this every time and it only tries to respond to the 401 when it is in answer to an INVITE. If we 401 the UPDATE or BYE, your system isn't resending them with the digest like it should
 
I have an issue where a SIP trunk provider is rejecting our calls with a 401 aswell. Was told a similar thing, try to make an outgoing call, get challenged for a repsonse and the Mitel is not responding so call is rejected.

Please post if you find a solution.
