I have set up SIP Line in our CS1000E rel 7.5. and currently have one Avaya B179 Conference phone programmed. I can make calls from the set either to phones on the cs1ke switch or to other switches in our network. My problem is that I can not receive any calls on the B179. When calling it it would appear as though the call is going through, normal ringing. Doing an ENTC in LD 80 for the calling set all appears nornal for the call setup but doesn't seem to go anywhere. I'm guessing that I have missed something but considering the Docs aren't that great I wouldn't be suprised. Anyone have any ideas as to what piece I've missed. We also have System Session Manager in our system and don't have any problems with it or its call routing.

What type of line do you have it set up as, or are you setting it up as a trunk? Can you show me a PRT of the programming of it. I have a few phones here (NOT a conference phone though) and they all are working so I might be able to help out here.

It is set up as a UEXT-SIPL. The programing was completed as described in the Avaya Doc B179-CS1KR75. I've attached the print out of the phone. I've also included a trac of a call to the SIP B179 conference phone from another set on the same CS1KE. (TN 252.0.0.2 is the SIP phone and the TN 252.0.0.0 is a unistm 1140). The DN is pointed at the CS1KE in the session manager. I have tried calling the set and tried just going off hook while the call is ringing in the chance that the call was actually going through but the set just not ringing. No luck there, when I go off hook on the B179 I get dial tone and am able to make a call.

Hummm, interesting. We are programmed almost exactly the same, below is a copy of my SIP line. We are close to the same. Is there any funky network problems where your CS1000 can't reach the phone? Try putting a hub in between the phone and the switch, plug a laptop in and wireshark it. Then you can filter on SIP and see if it is reaching the switch.
