Hi All.

I have a system MCD 3300 SW 6.0 SP2

i have system beside this that control the users day, (if the are at lunch the system says that, the person you are looking for is at lunch and is back at xx=) the communication between the system uses SIP.

Now i have a problem, when the switchboard takes a call and the caller woult like to talk to a person that is busy on the phone, the switchboard can transfer the call and the caller should get a que messages but, when the transfer is done, there is no ringback or anything for the caller that are quing.

the developer of the system hade the samt problem on their own pbx (Aastra) and they changed this value, Allow RTP Stream over communication server and it started to work on their site. I think the trouble is that the media streams are not following the call when the switchboard does the transfer, but wich sip setting in the Mitel system can solv this?

any idees are of help

Regards Ulf

It is a kind of voice mail system with the option to give the incomming call information about what people are doing, for ex ex 2620 gets a external call, the 2620 are in a meeting, when a call arrive to the ext 2620 it diverted to this system and the caller gets the information that ext 2620 David Andersson is in a meeting and will be back att 1 pm, to leave a message press 1, to have the email adress press 2 for the switchboard press 9.

the same system can also be as a personal que system, if the ext 2620 gets a call and the ext is busy, the caller will here this message, Ext 2620 David Andersson is on the phone. to wait press 0, to leave a message press 1 and so on. I the caller press 0 then there is for ex 4 ringback tones and the a que message that You are number one i que.

this works perfect but when a call is transferd to a busy ext there is no sound as long as the ext is busy.

Try changing various options in the "SIP Peer Profile" form.
Maybe "Suppress Use of SDP Inactive Media Streams"

Most others here will understand SIP better than me so I will let them chime in.
