Hello,

I am searching for the firmware of an OpenStage 40 telephone. I wanted to connect it to my agfeo telephone-system but i checked that the HFA firmware is flashed. As I am not a Unify-Partner I can't find the proper firmware on the Internet. Also the tonido cloud from the user "sbcsu" is down. So I wanted to ask if there is still a person who is willing to send me the SIP-firmware. That'd be great!

Thank you

Hi
Thanks for the firmware. I tried to flash it over ftp. It restarted, showed a black screen for a while and then did boot up. It appears that it did not accept the new firmware, as it does not show the sip settings. I have read that I first need to upgrade to a specific firmware in order to upgrade to the firmware version that you have sent me. Can you send me a link to this firmware that I need to flash first? (I mean the V2 Firmware)

Go into the FAQs section tab up above where you will find a reference to the Tonido site along with login credentials. We (mostly sbcsu) have been building a library of software, firmware and documentation.

It is true that sometimes you need to be at a minimum version, which will show in the release notes for the version you downloaded, also available on Tonido.

I am speaking a bit from the side here because I do all my updates using the DLS Deployment system (which you can get free with limitations) but I am fairly sure you would have to do software updates using SFTP (secure), even though it gives you other options.

You may also be able to cheat your updates if there is a SIP version of the DERT tool on Tonido. In that case you can use that tool, following the directions to the letter, and it will re-flash your phone with the SIP software (you will need a POE power injector). The tool is designed to un-brick phones, but I can't see why it couldn't also be a convenient way to change the firmware type...)
