SIP devices showing "PRIV" calling internal numbers

I've tried several SIP adapters (Linksys, MultiTech & Grandstream). All seem to work fine.

However, if I originate a call from any of the SIP devices to a 4-digit display device (5330/5340) it acts as though the SIP device DN is set "private" though I've checked and it isn't.

By comparison, if I place a call from the SIP device to an extension within the same cluster but on a different element we see the full callerID display (name & number), so there it works fine. It also works OK when placing an outside call to the PSTN.

What did I miss in programming?

Thanks

I haven't worked much with SIP so take this for what it's worth.

What I believe is happening is that the SIP device has the ability to have an embedded name (Not Tel Dir). this is the name that displays when calling Set to Set locally. When connecting to the PSTN or IP trunks however, the Tel DIR is engaged to provide the calling name.

Just guessing, but it fits what I know.

Found it. CL O S
"Suppress CallerID Display Between Sets

In the Mitel Configuration examples they have this field set to "YES" for reasons probably only they know.
