SIP App on Zebra TC 52 Stopped Working After Upgrade 1

This issue has been rectified by downgrading the IPO back to its original software level of 11.1.1.1 Build 18. This issue affected all 30 plus phone apps at a major Canadian retailer.

I had upgraded the IPO to 11.1.2.4 and upon doing this the Android SIP app on the Zebra TC52 scanners would no longer connect to the IPO and kept getting a 403 Forbidden response from the IPO.

I'm posting this as a warning to others and also looking for for any explanation anyone has as to what happened. Obviously the User-Agent: Softphone Android 5.1.3.1 build 103633

System Status showed a ton of alarms for invalid user ID / password, but that was not the issue. I checked the security settings to make sure the length requirements hadn't changed with the upgrade.

The IP address of the TC52 kept getting blacklisted by the IPO as registration attempts were made.

After successful Registration the Softphone unregisteres itself.

It sends a REGISTER message to IPO with ‚expires=0‘ in contact header. You sloths check on the app what happens.

ahh, autocorrect strikes again - if the sloths aren't fast enough, I think the should check on the app what happens.

Most likely is a mismatch somewhere is protocols, certificates, addresses, something. So try to look at traces with a bit more than just the SIP talk.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
