SIP 8845 and Line Pickup

Since the SCCP 8945 is EOL, we have moved onto the SIP 8845.
On the 8945, I could set it up so if any line on the phone was ringing, I could pick up the handset to answer the call.
But if nothing is ringing on the 8945, and I pick up the handset, I get my prime line to call out on.
On the SIP 8845, if I set it to answer any ringing line, once I have answered a line, if I pickup my handset later, I get the
last line I answered, not my prime line.
The issue comes up because of wireless headsets and handset lifters.
And everyone wants the 8845, to answer like the 8945.
Anyone have any suggestions ?
 
I've seen that complaint before with the 88xx series. There is no way to do it. I did read someone came up with a pretty good work around though. Ill see if I can dig it up.
