Hello .

I am tshooting intermittent PRI disconnects and was able to log monitor traces.
I see some messages that I have not seen before.
Looks like Merlin sends a SINQ message to all active bchannels then disconnects each.
Magix R1.5

Decoded the file.

Looks like merlin sent an inquiry to the CO since it detected an issue then merlin received a CO Disconnect for each active line?

since it was turned up and in fact spans two different providers.

So this is a Private Network between 2 Legends/Magix?

If so, all you should have them provide is a "CLEAR CHANNEL" T1, and the Legend/Magix does it's own thing with that.

let me restate.

It is a 10 channel PRI from ATT connected to a INA board.
The problem existed when the site had Windstream and the problem appears to still exist with ATT.
I dont have any traces for the windstream failures but I do have these traces for the ATT failure.

sorry for the confusion.

nope.

You may want to try reprogramming the 10 lines for the PRI to the last 10 on the PRI card (818-827 for your lines and corresponding B Channels). I had an issue once where I had the first 8 channels on the PRI card programmed and the PRI would sporadically drop. I tried changing the lines to the last 8 lines on the card as a last ditch effort and the problem went away. Worth a try.

yeah I had though about tearing it down and rebuilding. This INA used to be programmed for two data channels and while it is no longer provisioned for the two channels I cant rule that out as the cause. It is telling that the isdn traces decoded show that the central office initiates the disconnect. I did keep track of disconnects in a list but cannot find consistency to say that yes it is always "fill in cause here" that causes the issue.

examined traces and found other disconnects on:
