We have a SharePoint 2010 Enterprise environment running on Windows Server 2008 R2 servers. There are (2) application servers with (3) web front ends. Domain/Forest is W2k8 and all users are in the same domain. There is 1 web application, not counting Central Administration. The web application is configured to use CLAIMS authentication and NTLM. Currently the external/public URL is: The internal/default URL is
The client would like to use the same URL internally and externally but also require that the landing page with CLAIMS authentication continue to be used for external access with NTLM continuing to be internally w/o CLAIMS or authentication prompting.
