Hello Everyone,

Anyone have any clues, as to, how to setup Lotus Notes 6.5 to sign in using the same password as the Windows password. I don't want the user to have to type the password to sign on to Notes, it should just pick up the Windows Login password and sign on.

I've searched on this but haven't found anything useful.

Please let me know what to look into, as i'm still a newby to Notes.

Thanks in advance,

To use single password login, you need to install the single signon option when installing Notes. Its an option in the custom install.

Then you will need to reboot and make sure the Lotus single logon service is started. Once you have verified that the service is started, open notes, go to "File >Security >User security" and change the password. Your passwords should now be in sync.

Note that Notes and Windows may have different password quality settings, so it may take a few attempts so that the password is acceptable to both Notes and Windows....

Hello,

Thank you very much. That seems to have worked.

Thanks again,
