I have a small business office that recently swapped out their SBS2003 server with a new SBS2011 server. They have a member server running sharepoint 2007 along with SQL 2008 standard that was joined to the original SBS2003 domain "abc.local". When we disjoined the abc.local domain and joined the new SBS2011 domain xyz.local of course sharepoint/SQL do not play very nicely in the new domain. We have made numerous attempts using various online articles addressing changing domains but with no luck. Does anyone know of a documented process for performing this? We have backups that can restore the original server back to the old domain and have left the old SBS2003 server online for this purpose until we can get the correct migration process but running out of options. Again, a single Sharepoint 2007 & SQL 2008 server joined to abc.com domain and want to join the new xyz.domain. What needs to be considered for Sharepoint migration/SQL migration? Any and all advice will be considered :) Thank you all in advance.
