Is there a way to lock out other user's from just a single Record (not the whole Table)in an Access2K mdb when a user is updating that Record.

I have the Access2K database on a network with several users. I need to allow all users to access the Table and make changes/modifications to different Records simultaneously, but to make a Record "Read-Only" to the other users if someone is modifying it.

Appreciate any suggestion. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Click on Tools, Options, then click on the Advanced tab. Choose the Default Record Locking option most appropriate to your database.
