I am running Crystal 8.5 on an Oracle 8i Database

Is there a way to append reports to a PDF file so I wind up with just one overall report? I did have 35 separate monthly reports that has to be printed, assembled and distributed.

Unlike PL/SQL, I haven't found anything in Crystal that will allow me to create a spool file, run my SQL reports and then close the spool file. Instead, I moved my 35 reports into subreports and placed them in 4 main reports but I understand that doing it this way may corrupt my reports.

Any ideas?

Creating one master report that runs all the subreports is the only way to do it as a single PDF from Crystal Reports/Enterprise. Don't know of why that would "corrupt" your reports - it will however take a while to run.

Another option is to use Adobe Acrobat to manually INSERT the individual PDFs into a master PDF file. It's still a manual intervention but it would give you the single PDf you are looking for.

Thanks. That's what I thought.

On the subject of corruption, synapsevampire mentioned it in the Formula forum about the more subreports, the more likely for corruption.

Report corruption is a minor risk you can protect against by keeping backups of your reports (and backups of the main report at various stages as you insert more subreports.

By the way, what's stopping you from creating this as a single report? It sounds like it's just a question of date range.
