I'm stuck on whether or not to use multiple XML files for my information or one large file.

1)If I go with the multiple, I will potentially have hundreds of XML files with about 50 lines of code on average

2)If I go with a single file, will having 1000's of lines of code slow down the parsing compared to single files?

If someone needs more information about this, please let me know and I'll post whatever more is needed.

It's best to do it with 1 big xml than multiple small ones.

I had to make this choice to last year and tested both cases for their performance and the big file was slightly faster.

I don't think it will be the parsing itself, but accessing the multiple xml streams makes it slower.
